Dave Sunderland Inter County
Dave Sunderland Inter county competition is a competition between 9 counties that takes place on a Saturday afternoon in November each year.
Each county rotates responsibility for organising each year, so location can vary. The participating counties are as follows: Warwickshire, West Midlands, Hereford& Worcestershire, Surrey, Cumbria, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Merseyside.

Year 7 through to Year 12. New age groups this year

Y9 & 10 combined

County Selection for this event will be made following the open trial at Stratford School on the 14th November ( 1 week prior). Please be aware there is a quick turnaround for this event . If you wish to be considered for the team you must attend the trial on the 14th Nov.
Additional Information
Selection will be made following the Open meeting on 14th November 2026.
Teams of approx. 10 per age group will be selected to represent Warwickshire.
Selection will be predominantly based on performance at the Inter area & schools cup.
If there are any known runners of county standard not in attendance, they will also be considered if they have recent proven fitness and ability either via club events or the schools cup.
The school PE department will be notified of selected athletes for this event.

Minors – Year 7 & 8 combined
Juniors – Year 9 & 10 combined
Inters – Year 11 & 12 combined

Inter Girls: 3500 – 4000m
