TRACK & FIELD COUNTY SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS
About The Warwickshire athletics County Championships
Held annually in June. Competition across all track & field events for Junior (Y8&9) and Inters (Y10&11). Entry via selection from area trials only. Athletes who place 1st and 2nd in each event will be considered for the Warwickshire Team to compete at the Inter County event on the following Saturday. A top 2 finishing position however does not guarantee you a place as we also must consider if the performance is of county standard and at a level high enough to compete at the next competition.

Saturday 13th June
Venue – Pingles, Nuneaton
ENTRY VIA SELECTION ONLY FROM AREA TRIALS
This event has always been predominately Y8-Y11. However, any Seniors Y12/13 who wish to take part, please speak to your PE teacher about possible entry.
Event runs from 9am – 4pm
There will be using Electronic Timing for Track and EDMs for Field.
Event will operate within the existing
age groups in line with ESAA. Under 15 (Year 8&9). Under 17 Year (9&10) . Under 19 (Year 12 &13)
Hurdles events will be in line with England Athletics. U16 (Y9&10) U18 (Y11&12). U20 ( Y13 only)

Additional Information
Entry is via qualification from AREA TRIALS ONLY, no individual entry.
If an athlete/school does not attend the area trials, the school would need to nominate the athlete to the area coordinator to be considered for selection.

2 athletes per area can be entered in any event, a 3rd athlete can be entered if all 3 are of ‘county’ standard!
Competition is for Junior and Inter age groups with the exception of Hurdles events
