ESAA NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
About ESAA National Cross Country Championships
The ESAA National Cross-Country Championship is the most eagerly anticipated event of the winter for young athletes.
The ESAA national cross country championships is held annually in March. There are 46 participating counties and the teams will be selected by the county committee.
Additional Information
Selection will be made predominately, from the County Championships in January, by the county committee.
Warwickshire Schools will take a team of 48 athletes to the Championships.
A top 8 finish at the County Championships does NOT guarantee an automatic selection, but all 8 will be considered for team selection. In selection we may also consider any known runners who had to miss the County Championships for a justifiable reason! These runners, however, would be expected to have displayed proven fitness and outstanding performance in recent School / Club fixtures.
Selected runners will be notified directly, as well as teams being sent to your PE department.
Juniors – Year 8 & 9 combined
Inters – Year 10 & 11 combined
Seniors – Year 12 & 13 combined
There is an athlete entry fee for this event.
Travel will need to be provided by the family to the event on the day.
